Beginning in fall 2013, we will offer space within the gallery designed to support both instruction and project based-classes with access to engage with the Fine Arts Collection. The experimental and flexible space will be dedicated to research, course instruction, and special projects in all fields and disciplines across campus.

UC Davis has selected the final design for the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art. Architect SO - IL, in partnership with architectural firm Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and contractor Whiting-Turner, designed the new museum.

Jacob Lawrence painted the Migrations series between 1940-41. His works explore his community's story of African Americans who journeyed from the rural south to the urban north between the World Wars in search of a better life, a movement known as the Great Migration. Events are in connection with Campus Community Book Project & The Office of Campus Community Relations
